{Boho Floral} Nursery
I got the privilege of decorating my niece, Ryann’s nursery. Her mom loves the modern Bohemian, vintage, shabby chic styles and I have never tackled a room with that vibe- so I was excited for the experience!
The entire nursery was inspired by Caden Lane’s – Peyton’s Vintage Floral Blanket (link below) which she picked out (I’m pretty sure before she even was preggo! haha!). But the colors were so fun to work with and really set the tone for the whole space!
The room started with gray walls and a contractor-grade flush-mount light fixture (unfortunately I did not take any before pictures at this point… I need to get better at that!) but it was kind of dark and dreary.
We decide to brighten up the space by painting the walls and ceiling a light creamy color (my favorite: Alabaster). And then added two accent walls with a board-and-batten treatment (also painted Alabaster with natural trim) on the bottom, and painted a muted gray-green for the upper portion of the wall.
For the light fixture we went with a 5-light gold chandelier from Etsy (exact link is no longer available – but that are tons of similar options out there!). The new light really helped brighten the space and was a huge improvement from what was there before.
Once the wall treatment was done, then came time for my favorite part: Decorating!

How cute did this room turn out?! I love how bright and warm the space feels now. Sweet Ryann is one lucky girl to have the cutest nursery on the block!
